Expeditionary learning Education is one of the Nation’s most innovative and successful school design instructional models. Through expeditionary learning design principles and practices, school designers enable our teachers to implement real life, project-based learning “expeditions” that promote literacy and integrate curricular content. Expeditionary Learning also delivers the school’s stated mission goals of providing students with a creative, adaptive and ethical environment consistent with the state’s curriculum standards. We like to embrace that everyone is different and every voice matters. Every day in our school, our students are set aside time to meet with their crew: a group of students that are not normally grouped together. A crew leader sponsors a lesson that requires the crew to work together to unravel a concept learned by active demonstration.
Through multiple programs, such as our one to one initiative (one device per student) and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math), we do our best to prepare our children to become a global citizen through the means of technology. Not only will our programs serve as a valuable resources, but one of the main goals is to teach them the morals and characteristics of being a digital citizen, understanding how to interact properly in virtual environments, and train them to stay away from vulnerabilities.
After thorough research, we found that students perform better when in gender-separate classes in their pre-teens. A series of studies show that boys and girls learn differently and have different physical and emotional needs. Manara offers gender-separate classes in 5th grade and middle school to provide a tailored environment in order for students to reach full potential in education and character.
It is our vision to be the pinnacle of knowledge, character, ethics, and community building.
