Greetings Manara Families,
As the Principal of Irving Elementary School, it is my pleasure in welcoming all new and returning families to a great school year. It is a privilege to serve as the campus Principal.
The relationship between the families and the school is vital to the success of our students. I encourage all families to become active members of the school community. I firmly believe that all students have the ability to excel at the highest levels and the cooperation between the family home and the school is a vital part of that process. Our campus strives to create authentic student-centered learning.
Reading is a key component to the success of students in all areas of their school career. With that, we will continue the weekly reading challenge that we started this semester. This past school year our students started the reading challenge by reading only 15 hours a week on average. I am excited to share our students are now reading up to 40 hours a week on average, with some grades going over 70 hours each week!
We will be learning together as parents and school to achieve the highest accomplishments our students are capable of achieving!
Our school Touchstone is at Manara we Experience the B.L.U.E. Where we Believe, Lead, Unite, and Excel. Our school mascot is the Explorers - Once an explorer, always an explorer! May your school year be an amazing adventure and exploration of learning!
