Good Afternoon Manara STEM Families, The book fair this past week was very successful! Thank you for supporting the love of reading on our campus, and thank you to the PTO for the organized fun-filled week! Please add to your calendars that March 25 is now a school day. Originally it was a "bad weather make-up day", and since we had a bad weather day off in January, we will be making up that day on March 25 (the Monday after Spring Break). Do you know of any families who would want to register their child for the 2024-2025 school year at Manara? Send them our way! Any current family who recommends a family for enrollment and they come on February 2 or February 9 to register their child(ren), your child (or all of your children who attend our campus currently) will receive the last 6 weeks Friday dress down days for FREE (you won't have to pay for the last 6 dress down days!). Just tell the family coming to enroll that you recommended them to enroll! Our seats are filling fast, so tell them to stop by so we can assist! I hope you have a beautiful weekend! Good morning, STEM families! Today is our Family Fun Event with a literacy focus on our campus from 4:00pm-5:30pm! The Scholastic Book Fair will take place that afternoon, as well as several fun literacy game stations all throughout the school to take part in. I'm excited to also have our community partners, Arlington Charities, with their Mobile Food Pantry here on campus from 4:15pm until 5:15pm, in which our families will again have an opportunity to receive FREE groceries! Good Evening Manara STEM Families, This week, January 29 - February 2, is our Scholastic Book Fair week. Students will have the opportunity to shop each day next week during scheduled times. Please read within the newsletter the opportunity to sign your child up for an eWallet through Scholastic. This is a great way to give your child money for the book fair without having to send them with cash to school. We will also have themed "literacy" days throughout the week to celebrate reading. In the newsletter are the themes for the days. Students CAN dress out of uniform if participating in the themed days. Only appropriate costumes and items going with the costumes should be worn (no face coverings, no onesies, no toy weapons). If you have a question about your child's book character dress up items, please reach out to your child's teacher. Our Literacy Family Fun Event is this Tuesday, January 30 from 4:00 - 5:30pm. The Mobile Food Pantry for Arlington Charities will be here as well, so don't forget to fill out the link within the newsletter to qualify for FREE groceries that you will get to take home that evening! The Intent to Return is to be filled out for returning AND non-returning students (EVERYONE) to Manara for the 2024-2025 school year. The classes with 100% Intent to Returns filled out by January 10th will receive FIVE FREE dress down days on January 16th, 17th, 18th, 22nd & 23rd (since January 19 has already been paid for online). Good morning, STEM families! Exciting news! All dress down money is now being collected and paid for ONLINE! Our online payment store now is open for you to be able to pay for multiple dress down days at a time. If your child (or children) enjoys participating in the Friday dress down days, please go to manaraacademy.org, scroll down to "school fees", click on "Arlington STEM", and finally click on "Dress Down Money". The payment is $7.00 for the next 7 dress down weeks (1/3/24 - 2/16/24). CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED tomorrow, so please make sure to fill out the form and payment by tomorrow morning so your child can wear their dress down attire. As soon as you make a payment, I receive a notification that a payment was made, so we will keep track of the dress down days your child has available. If you have any questions, please reach out!
